I bought this for my daughter's car. I make sure I have a service manual for each of the cars in the family. They are essential for DIY maintenance and also to make sure mechanics do not try to snow you when you have to pay for repairs or service. Knowledge is powerful. Also, Honda are notorious for "unique" service requirements - fluids, fittings, techniques, etc. I have relied on Haynes manuals for decades for many different vehicles. They are not comprehensive and the photos are sometimes not helpful / informative enough but they are valuable for most routine maintenance, service guidance and DIY repairs. If you do not have one for your car, I suggest that you get one and scan / read it. At a minimum, you will know your car better.

99% of the pictures describe the early model of the car, my Honda Fit is a 2013 model so I am dissapointed. The text on the manual is comprehensive and it differentiates the early model procedures from the later models with subtitles in different paragraphs. It's good material as expected, this isn't my first manual and probably won't be the last.

Great pics and descriptions. My only improvement would be to put the information in the reading instead of telling you to refer to another place in the manual Example...it would take less time on my part, and less words on your part, when telling me in the radiator maintenance section that one gallon of fluid is required right there instead of tell me to "refer to sec so and so."

Exactly what I needed. Other reviews were right, there is much more information/pictures for the earlier years that this manual covers. My Fit is a 2013, so you kind of have to know what you're looking for instead of trusting the pictures.

This should come in handy on repairs to my wife's 2013 Fit. It's been a while since I used Haynes manuals.I wish there was an official Honda factory repair manual available though, like there is for my Nissan Altima--much better and more comprehensive!

I realize they are trying to pack a lot of information into a small space, but the one thing I really dislike about this manual is the constant back and forth I have to do. Would be great to have an online version so you can open tabs up for everything you need in the order you them in. Otherwise, it's good to go.

Another very complete manual. I like that Haynes adds color photos of bad spark plugs and what causes them, for quick basic troubleshooting. If you're looking to work on a car yourself, this is a must have.

Book arrived quickly using PRIME. Very detailed and covers most areas of the car beyond just basics.

The author examines this claim from a number of angles, showing how many religious figures who influenced the development of Christianity did not believe in biblical inerrancy, how the bible itself does not really claim inerrancy for itself, and how there are a number of examples of various kinds of errors that are fairly easy to verify. He goes further, too, in why fundamentalism still feels this kind of absolutism is important and what it does to shape Christianity in a certain direction, justifying a kind of intolerance within a religion that is meant to be gentle, loving, and forgiving in its orientation. The style of the author is not about trying to prove fundamentalism wrong, though there is ample critique that can be taken in this light, but more to open up a dialogue or discussion about what Christianity means and how fundamentalism may or may not be serving this. Much of the discussion is rooted in modern history, tracking parts of the lives of some fundamentalist leaders. Some of the discussion is about different historical perspectives about how Christianity and the Bible arose. The book reads well and smoothly, and opens up what I feel is an important discussion. For those who are outside of Christianity, the book can illuminate some of the struggles going on inside Christianity now and illuminate what is going on in the right wing political world.

â€‹I received an ARC of this book. I am leaving an honest reviewThis was an interesting book. I had not heard of Healing Justice concept before this book. I had the concept he refers to when I read his last book, 'Dancing With Elephants'. He used the concept of circles in helping with his disease.Healing Justice is a concept that the person who is taken advantage of needs healing and so does the the one who did the crime. The author takes on the concept by visiting three different communities. Each one approaches the concept from their own point of view. Each one has had their own way of implementing it.While I understand the concept I do have problems with how it can be truly implemented in the life of people today. While our society may be the problem, it is hard to move the ship while it is going strongly in one direction. I also understand that the abuser is in need of help as much as the one who receives the abuse, but sometimes an abuser is just that, an abuser, and there is not a clear way to reach them.The book tends to read like a text book in parts. I understand from the forward that these were published as part of his college classes so that may be the reason.Safe for all to read but as specialized as it is I do not think many of my circle of friends might be interested.

Jarem Sawatsky has written a book for our time touching on the topics of relationships, conflict, grief and healing; basically much of the human experience.Jarem shows his readers three different communities that are alternatives to the problematic norms and beliefs of dominate culture. Healing Justice is built on the premise that there is brokenness in people and brokenness in the ethos that forms our civilizations, but it has deteriorated the human ability to build and maintain healthy relationships. However, the communitiesâ€™ stories we hear from in this book model ways of being and relating that are healing; ways in which peace is not an end objective, but a way of doing life together and belonging to each other. In an age where we deconstruct and forget to reconstruct, this shows the process of doing such a rebuilding in all its complexities.Healing Justice comes from an academic version the author had previously written, but the goal here was to make a version accessible to all audiences, which he does well. It is also worth noting that his research is not just a disconnected intellectual project, but it does draw from his personal struggles as-well-as from the time he spent with each community observing and learning from them. This book is definitely worth the read and at least a re-read as there is much to glean from their stories.

In the face of great turmoil and pain in the world, Mr. Sawatsky introduces us to present-day enclaves of true community -- people who have chosen a compassionate response to justice within their memberships. It is exciting to learn that examples already exist of healing and restoration in the face of evil. Yet the cultivation and sustenance of true community is definitely the underlying requirement to this model. We have proof that it CAN happen. Do we have the will to MAKE it happen?

The book takes you on a trip to see and feel what healing and justice can look like when lived out in fullness, both at a personal and community level. Swatasky's vulnerable telling of his own story weaves together powerful images and lessons from some of the communities who most embody the intersection of healing and justice. After reading the book, I feel more trust that healing is possible, for us together, and for each of us individually.

I give the first 37 pages a five star review. Michael Singer gives a wonderfulâ€‹ example of how you are lost in a dream-like state. You are at the mercy of every thought that arises in your mind and you have no idea of what's happening. He wonderfully shines a light on the process that is happening to you and if you are paying attention, you could discover one of the most important ideas you could ever learn; you are not your thoughts. The first 37 pages are worth the price of admission and I have added this book to my personal lending library.Unfortunately, everything after that is similar to explaining what a shadow looks like to a blind person. He will tell you about some pretty amazing stuff but he won't tell you how to get there. You should buy his book, it will give you one of the best explanations as to why you should meditate, but it won't tell you how to meditate or attain it's benefits.I would recommend reading Mindfulness in plain English after reading this book. It will give you basic instructions on what to do next. As a warning though, it has some brief supernatural references, please just ignore them if they offend you, it really does contain a great instruction on how to meditate and loose the bonds that shackle you to anger, anxiety, depression and whatever else you are suffering from. Best of all.....You will do it by yourself.

As other one star reviewers have noted, the book is disorganized, full of empty phrases, and lacking in any fundamental actions that a reader might take to achieve the bliss promised herein. Some pearls of wisdom: â€œIt is actually possible to never have another problem for the rest of your life.â€ â€œAny time youâ€™re having trouble with something, think of death.â€ â€œHow you learn to stay open is up to you. The ultimate trick is to not close. If you donâ€™t close, you will have learned to stay open.â€œ â€œFor there to be manifest creation, energy must get in the dynamic of cycling around itself to create a stable unit.â€ I suspect that the overwhelming positive reviews of the book are influenced by adherents to the authorâ€™s philosophy and beliefs. To be clear: Iâ€™m not criticizing those beliefs, just the book.

I read the audio version of this book multiple times, bought copies of it for clients, and shared it with friends. Never have I read a book that so radically transformed the way I think. It was remarkably freeing to become so aware of how much I allowed my own thoughts to run my life. After reading Michael's book, I simply allowed irrelevant, erroneous, totally made up thoughts to just float on by without attaching my emotions to them. THAT was freeing!Most human beings are completely unaware that most of the thoughts in our mind are complete untrue. YET, we believe them, follow them, become emotionally entangled in them, allow them to change our mood, allow them to change our behavior.This book was also freeing in the sense that I let go of needing others to behave in a certain way in order for me to be OK. The reason I was't OK had nothing to do with anyone outside myself. It was a miraculous shift within me (to say the very least), when I realized I was trying to manipulate outside circumstances for me to feel OK in life.When I realized the shift needed to be made within ME for me to be OK in life, total game changer! I let everyone off the hook and stepped into unconditional peace and unconditional joy! Have you ANY idea what life is like when your own peace/joy is totally UNCONDITIONAL? It means you don't need anyone to change or be different for you to be happy. It means no-one outside yourself controls how you FEEL. It means you're no longer an emotional puppet on the string of everyone else's behavior, attitudes, decisions, choices, etc. YOU feel inner joy/peace no matter what. Hello?! Total game changer!I LOVED the audio version of the book because the person who read it was perfect for the content. Not to mention the ability to hit replay a million times on the parts that were SO transformative.This was a unique book. I've read TONS of other books on similar topics but the way Michael conveyed the material was unique and different and I really GOT IT! Thank you Michael Singer for the growth, expansion, and transformations you inspired within my very soul. My soul now largely "untethered" from the constant (and mostly irrelevant) chatter of the mind. :) I am a new person as a result of this book (and a few other audios I purchased from Michael's website which expanded upon what he taught in the book).

Singer's message is well known: The way for the soul to become unteathered is for us to realize you are not your thoughts, sensations, or pain--you are the witness of these. You can look at events from the seat of awareness or the seat of disturbance. You keep your infinite soul in a house made of your model of the world and expectations of people. When you approach your walls, you will feel insecurity and fear, but if you stay in the witness position these tensions will pass through you. But then Singer becomes dogmatic: "At all times remain conscious in the face of pain; Don't allow events to leave residue inside of you; you must decide if you want to be happy and commit to being happy ALL the time because God doesn't want to be around people who are miserable. (?) Fortunately in the last chapter he corrects this egregious, error saying God is non judging and sees only beauty in us. I would hypothesize that God loves us in spite of our shortcomings.

Great book for young readers. Honestly, I usually dislike any type of biographies, but this was different. The photos and drawings not only broke up the text and made the reading more inviting, but they were quite interesting in their own right. The many facts, especially direct quotes, of Lincoln were intriguing and some funny. Slavery was a â€œmonstrous injustice.â€ It was a â€œcancerâ€ threatening to grow out of control â€œin a nation originally dedicated to the inalienable rights of man.â€ Lincoln agreed with others that he was rather homely referring once to his â€œpoor, lean, lank face.â€ When a rival called him â€œtwo-facedâ€ during a political debate, Lincoln replied: â€œI leave it to my audience If I had another face, do you think Iâ€™d wear this one?â€ Some of the letters included reveal a man of great penmanship and great words. What struck me most throughout the book was the ending. He seemed to be aware that he would die by assassination, and accepted such. â€œIf I wore a shirt of mail, and kept myself surrounded by a bodyguard, it would be all the same. There are a thousand ways of getting at a man if it is desired that he should be killed.â€ And later he had a dream that he was wandering through the White House but no one was around until he reached the East Room, where a wake was held. When he asked â€œWho is dead in the White House?â€ the answer was â€œThe President, he was killed by an assassin.â€ At that point he woke in his dream. In all, a fascinating look at an ordinary man who lived a more-than-ordinary life, devoting it to leading his loved country. â€œâ€¦I have no other so great (ambition) as that of being truly esteemed of my fellow men, by rendering myself worthy of their esteem.â€ This book reads more like an adventure than a biography, but contains everything one could hope to learn from a biography.

Great little book - good for elementary age (if you believe in old fashioned education) or Jr High age (if you believe in the dumbed-down public education model we live with today. Quick, easy read, and no "revised" or "rewritten" History in it. Seller is great and would do business with them again.

I bought this book for my son's 11th birthday. He's always been interested in President Lincoln because they have the same birthday (albeit different years!). This book was the last present he opened - after the gameboy, the new game, and several other books. The gameboy went on the table and the book came out. He read for nearly an hour, occasionally stopping to fill me in on tidbits from the book. The book is very interesting reading, even for adults, and is written in such a way to capture the reader's interest from the beginning. I would highly recommend it!

It does say Photobiography... :-\ but still whish it had more text content. Overal I would recommend the book and buy again as a gift for another in the future or for younger children 6 to older...if nothing else it has pictures. My son is using this book for another school project and enjoys the book very much. I have added a star.

This book is a favorite among students of all ages. I first used it in my Children's Literature classes, and the college students often chose this photobiography as their favorite of the semester reads. Recently, I read with fourth graders, and it again appears to be the best. The text is written well, and the photos are varied and rich. It is a win, win for all who purchase it and read the story of our American hero.

Very interesting about the life of Lincoln, and it's not too difficult to read. It gave me more knowledge about our 16th president.
