Great autobiography of a mexican immigrant. I read the adult version and bought the young reader for my 12 year old daughter- she loved it. We had a little mother daughter book club.
My grandson enjoyed this book very much. In fact he wrote a poem about it [which won a prize]. I recommend it to readers in Middle School. And look forward to reading adult books by this authoress.
I couldn't put the adult version of this book down once I started reading it. I purchased this one for my 14 yo niece and 11 yo daughter.
This book should be required reading for all middle school kids.
This was listed as one of the books for my rising 7th grader to choose for her summer reading list. Shipping was fast and book was in great condition. Overall my daughter enjoyed reading it.
It was just amazing!😲 sometimes it was a little heartbreaking, but it inspired me! Reyna is such a hero to me!
My 12 year old loves this book.
An absolutely wonderful book. I'm so glad there is now a YA version.
