I am soo happy that I read the authors notes at the end of this one. I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't like the previous books the collection. Knowing that the future books will return to the original format is something to look forward to!! TY!!
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book, but waited to buy it for my review b/c I make many Kindle virtual bookmarks that I want to keep. This book is a rainbow with highlights!Peter is a little more “damaged†and angry than her other male lead characters in this series, which I liked. He is a successful non-fiction author around whom a whole publishing business grew. The meet-cute between Violet and Peter is funny but what she does with it, outrageous. Violet is a single mom with a 4yo daughter, Zoey and an Ex who didn’t want the responsibility to stay.I love the interconnectedness of this series. Violet is friends with Lilith, wife of Liam from HIS PACKAGE, another great book. Other past characters from this series make cameo appearances, which is fun. The rest of the story is quite entertaining, with Violet and Peter trying so hard NOT to like the other. But, would he like her at all if he knew she lied? Especially, after his experiences with Kristen??? Btw, get your fans ready for the end of chapter 14 and into chapter 15…HOT!!! Wink, I buy all her books...Read this story and for a real treat read the rest of this series…so worth it.
Wow! This is another incredible story in the series that just keeps on bringing the reader in. It's about Peter, an author, who kinda has a stick up his butt and the angriness that comes with it. Then comes Violet who is a marketing specialist with an adorable daughter named Zoey.When Peter and Violet meet you would swear there was thunder in the area because of the spark of emotion they both relayed. Peter thought she was sexy but trouble, and Violet just thought he was a good looking jerk.Violet goes to work for Peter just to prove to him she can kick butt but doesn't tell him about Zoey. Peter does everything he can to make her want to quit. The passion between them is hot. This story has other characters from previous stories including granny who is an absolute hoot. I love Her Secret. Thank you Penelope Bloom for writing more in this series. I am a true fan!
Again in this series I was blown away by the writing skills of Penelope Bloom.Her writing has me laughing so hard my eyes were watering. I find the caricatures enchanting and silly to boot. If you've had a bad day this will take you right out of it and leave you wishing for more.So bring it on Penelope Bloom! More books in the series please!!! You more than have my attention!!
Violet goes to a writer's convention with her little girl to see about drumming up some business for herself. However she didn't count on her daughter's love for bookmarks to lead her into Peter's path. When he was rude and insulting she decided she was going to teach him a lesson. However it back fired on her and she ended up working for him. There's just one thing he doesn't like to hire people with children or family obligations to a sick relative. So she lied about her daughter in order to get the job. When things start to heat up between her and Peter she wants to come clean and tries but he doesn't want to know. What will Peter do when he learns about her daughter?This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another amazing, funny story from Penelope that I couldn’t put down. Peter & Violet are funny, sexy and their banter is priceless. Peter & Violet together was exciting to read but I think Zoey stoke the show. Love getting more of Liam & Lilith and of course William and Grammy. Another amazing read that had me glued too my kindle.
A cute story in this series. Single mom Violet gets a job with the abrasive Peter, an author. Peter has been out of sorts for the past two years, since breaking up with his last girlfriend, so when he finds himself attracted to Violet, he ups the alphahole factor. Good thing Violet is sassy enough to manage his jerk. Lots of quirky characters from the series make an appearance (go, grammy!), and the resolution to a certain situation is extremely satisfying.
