It was just a question of time before a book came out that proposed a completely gluten-free life and that time has come.The author is well-versed in his subject, and what he offers is not just a guide on how to improve your health but rather "An eight week eating plan designed to help you feel and look younger!" I know that that sounds like an exaggeration to most people but rest assured, some diets can really change the way you feel about yourself, as well as the way you look.In the pages of this book you'll find everything you need to know about gluten and its connection to many diseases, including allergies, about the diet you need to follow, and lots of advice about how to make things work for you. Of course, going on a diet is never easy; it takes time, it demands discipline, and what's worse, it asks of you to probably stop eating some of your favorite foods. In the end though the decision is yours: Do you want to live in pain or lead a healthy life? It's simple as that. And if you get to read this book I'm sure that you'll choose the latter option, just as I did.

I enjoyed this book very much and it correlates with all the research I've been doing on clean eating. The recipes were a wonderful asset! The additional download was appreciated as well. Thanks for caring about people's health!

This was a nice high-level overview of an anti-inflammatory diet, but it lacked a more comprehensive approach. It focused mostly on a gluten-free diet, instead of taking a holistic anti-inflammatory approach. A book focused solely on a GF diet would be better suited to those looking for a completely gluten-free approach. This book also included many foods which most would still consider inflammatory, including dairy. Overall, I could have learned more sticking to online research instead of purchasing the book, but it may be worth considering for those who need a beginner's guide.

I say it right from the start: my family and I lead a gluten-free life already. However that doesn't happen because one of us is ill, but simply because we came to understand that it's a healthier way of life. Gluten as we've discovered can create a lot of problems to one's health, and it's not that necessary to the body anyway since it can be substituted.Knowing the facts though did not deter me from buying this book, since from what I've read in the internet it's the most detailed one can find right now concerning gluten. I didn't regret my decision. The author knows his facts, and he writes in a simple way that's easy to understand for any reader. By saying what he had to say without making things sound too complicated he didn't only manage to grab my attention, but also made me believe that I still had a lot to learn. And I did.The diets he proposes here sound good to me, and if you don't know how they work you can't even begin to imagine how much one could benefit from them. I know that as someone who's already on a gluten-free diet I can easily follow his instructions, but I don't think that they are so hard for anyone to follow. Believe me when I say to you that if you go on one of these diets you'll never feel hungry, and your health will improve as well. What more could you ask for?

A few things I didn't know about.

The book is good, however, all the charts are not formatted for Kindle - so I only got half of a chart. Glad I only pd $2.99 for it.

I wanted more lists of anti inflammatory foods I guess I just ordered the wrong book

I feel this book misrepresented the inflammatory response by really describing a gluten-free plan. Granted, many people have an allergy or sensitivity to gluten (or lactose), but there are many more food intolerance that exists and he fails to really go into detail regarding this issue. His elimination diet is specific for gluten sensitivity and some lactose response, but really lacks helping the reader identify the other possible allergies or sensitivities. I would recommend this book only if you are looking for a gluten or possibly lactose intolerance guide.

I just got this yesterday and haven't had time to really read it yet, but I will warn users to be very careful about the photos. Quite a few are misidentified, and with edible plants that can be dangerous. Some examples:Black birch: the trunk photo is yellow birchBlack cherry: the flower pictures are of a plumJuniper (Juniperus communis): The photo is Juniperus virginianaRed bay: The photo is poor, but it is not red bay (Persea borbonia). It looks like gallberry (Ilex glabra)Stinging nettle: Photo is a Tragia species, which also stings, but is in the spurge family (Euphorbiaceae). I would not recommend eating Tragia because many family members are poisonous.Wild grape: The first photo shows a Smilax (S. smallii I believe), and in the second photo the foliage is Ligustrum sinense, and I think the fruits are an Ampelopsis, not a wild grape.Wild plum: The flower photo is a Malus (crabapple)

I LOVE this book. It has all the local southern US wild edibles listed by season so you know what to forage for. It also has a glossary in the back in case you find a berry you don't know the name of. Probably the best and most important features of this book are beautiful full color photos for ease of identification and warnings in case there are poisonous lookalikes.So far this book has helped us find and identify autumn olives, elderberries, common mallow, wild plantain, blueberries, wood sorrel, goldenrod, lady's thumb, hawthorne, cat's ear, muscadine grapes, hickory nuts, as well as a few we already knew of that we didn't know we could eat.Oh, it is also provides instruction for sustainable harvest and uses for each plant.Thanks to this book, I think we are done buying greens, teas, berries, nuts, and grapes from the store.

I received my book today and was a bit disappointed at the quality of the photos meant to use to ID the plants. Some of the photos are not even of the plant that they are describing. I would be hesitant to trust any of the info in the book without looking at other guide books and sources.

I don't recommend this book. If you simply want an encyclopedia of what is out there, then by all means give it a look. But if your hoping that this book will provide you with guidance on how to FIND wild edibles then you're going to be very disappointed. I'll cite two examples: First, one of the most coveted of wild edibles CHANTARELLES is not even listed, let alone any other mushroom. Second, if you turn to the page on RAMPS, there is literally no valuable information from which to begin your hunt; he doesn't explain that they can only be found above a certain elevation, suggest regions where they are commonly foraged, etc. Basically this book has no value to the budding forager.

It is fairly easy to find books on this subject that cover large areas but may not be as useful in your local area or may not cover plants in your area at all. This book does a good job at spanning the gaps left by the books that cover broader areas. This book covers some plants I'm familiar with and many I'm not, it has great color photographs and does a good job of describing plants that are found in my local area. I would recommend this book to anyone who lives in the region and is interested in the subject.

I absolutely love this book. Not only does it have beautiful pictures but tells you what to forge, when to forge and how much so you won’t ruin the crops for years to come. I think that’s very important when taking from the wild.

So far the book seems great! Lots of great pictures and information. A lot of the wild edibles I already knew about are in there and are accurate, so I feel good about this book.

If interested in foraging, this is the book for you. The only thing that could make this book better is if it was organized by season or month. It's easy to read, good photos and descriptions. It was recommended to me and I am now recommending to you.

As an MBA candidate I've been required to read A TON of material on public speaking and presenting. This guidebook was by far the most useful. As someone who has struggled with presenting (to the point of having anxiety attacks when public speaking) I know that simply reading a book about public speaking methods just doesn't cut it. However, this guidebook skips a lot of the "fluff" and provides useful guidance, real world examples, and tips you will actually use and remember when standing up in front of a group of people. No matter what feild you are in, if public speaking is something you struggle with or feel you can improve, I would highly recommend giving this a read.

While at work, I was constantly asked to conduct presentations to my staff, as well as to several clients. I’d often find myself acting nervous, and it was evident to the point that my manager had mentioned something to me during a coaching session. I think most of this nervousness was due to the fact that I didn’t know how to properly give a presentation. Whereas other books are conceptual, this book guides you step by step on how to prepare AND deliver a presentation effectively. Golzari basically cuts out the fat that you'll find in other books and gets straight to the point. I would recommend this book not just to students, but also to corporate directors and managers as the advice here can be applied to anyone that needs help with public speaking. Even if you don't think you need improvement, chances are this book will open up your eyes to something you could be doing better
