As an MBA candidate I've been required to read A TON of material on public speaking and presenting. This guidebook was by far the most useful. As someone who has struggled with presenting (to the point of having anxiety attacks when public speaking) I know that simply reading a book about public speaking methods just doesn't cut it. However, this guidebook skips a lot of the "fluff" and provides useful guidance, real world examples, and tips you will actually use and remember when standing up in front of a group of people. No matter what feild you are in, if public speaking is something you struggle with or feel you can improve, I would highly recommend giving this a read.
While at work, I was constantly asked to conduct presentations to my staff, as well as to several clients. There are a tons of books out there on presentations and presenting skills, but so far this is the only one that I've found that is condensed and an actual how-to guide. Whereas other books are conceptual, this book guides you step by step on how to prepare AND deliver a presentation effectively. Golzari basically cuts out the fat that you'll find in other books and gets straight to the point. I would recommend this book not just to students, but also to corporate directors and managers as the advice here can be applied to anyone that needs help with public speaking. Even if you don't think you need improvement, chances are this book will open up your eyes to something you could be doing better
